Faith is an Adventure
Faith is an exciting adventure.
The faith walk is a real and worthwhile adventure. There is
nothing more adventurous than namely faith.
For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
There is nothing more adventurous than trusting God, who
knows what we need before we even ask him.
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need
before you ask him. Matthew 6:8
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly
Father knows that you need them. Matthew 6:32
There is nothing more adventurous than trusting the loving
father who isn't seen by our physical eyes for providing for our needs.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is
unseen, 2 Corinthians 4:18
There is nothing adventurous than thanking God beforehand
for He meets our needs on time.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Psalm 23:1
There is nothing real adventurous than trusting God as a
primary source and not secondary, even if he uses other people to provide for
us.
There is nothing adventurous than fixing our eyes on him and
on him only while we are tempted to turn to others.
There is nothing more adventurous than to trust in him, come
what may.
There is nothing more adventurous than thinking it is his
problem and not mine if he doesn't provide the way we think he provides, on
time.
Thinking that if he doesn't want to provide it isn't mine,
and I don't really need it, at least for now is an adventure.
There is nothing more adventurous than resting and letting
God fight for himself.
There is nothing more adventurous than casting our care on
him as he cares for us.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1
Peter 5:7
There is nothing adventurous than being anxious about
nothing.
do not be anxious
about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6-7
There is nothing more adventurous than smiling while we have
the burden.
There is nothing more adventurous than every good thing that
comes from above, who is always good and nothing but good.
“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a
stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though
you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will
your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Matthew 7:9-11
There is nothing adventurous than asking God without
considering our salary, our saving, or business income.
“Ask and it will be
given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to
you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one
who knocks, the door will be opened. Mathews 7:7-8
You really ask when you can't. If you can, it is not asking,
it is planning.
There is nothing more adventurous than trusting God's
invitation, 'test me on this also'
Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will
not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that
there will not be room enough to store it. Malachi 3:10
This is a golden opportunity to test God once again.
There is nothing more adventurous than walking by faith, not
by sight.
If faith doesn't help
you in a time like this then when?
