It is very wise to seize any opportunity set-aside to give thanks to the Lord. But thanks-giving isn’t a once a year activity to be observed. There are good reasons that every day must be a thanksgiving day.
There are valid reasons that in everything we give thanks to the Lord and there are enough reasons that God deserves our thank you in each and every moment of our lives. We make a big mistake if we forget to thank him for everything he is doing in our lives, and it will be equally wrong if we stop thanking him or murmur against him for any reason.
Thanksgiving should be a day-to-day attitude towards God. Whatever we do we have to do it recognizing his goodness in our lives. Any day in which we don’t actively praise the Lord is a waste of time.
- · God is good all the time
The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, Nahum 1:7
- · His compassion is new every day
Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
- God personally sustains us.
We could never sustain ourselves. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. Psalm 3:5
- God deserves our praise as He holds our breath we live and we have our being in him
For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' Acts 17:28
- We have to use every day every day for He loved and saved us while we were yet sinners and his enemies. he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.
He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:5
- · God deserves our thank you as he provides our needs each day.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
- · The fact we have breath reminds us to praise the Lord.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. Psalm 150:6
- · Everyday is a thanksgiving day as God is our light and fortress that we shall not fear anyone or anything.
Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
- · We are grateful every day as our gratefulness attitude is the way we acknowledge his goodness.
What shall I return to the LORD for all his goodness to me? Psalm 116:12
- · We can’t have any valid reason to be ungrateful.
God isn’t only He loves us he is also loved. He can’t be anything else except love. In whatever way you look at God he is love and nothing else.
His mouth is sweetness itself; he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, this is my friend, daughters of Jerusalem. Song of Solomon 5:16
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8
