Happy New You

We all are always eager to have a new year. We need a new beginning. We long for a fresh start. There is nothing wrong with great expectations.

The truth is how much we are eager to have a new thing in life; we cannot get it. We cannot have the desired new life unless we do the right thing. Desiring without the corresponding action is nothing.

It isn’t up to God to give us a change of life. God only gives us an opportunity for a change in life.

If our mind isn’t new, the newness of the year doesn’t benefit us at all. If the mind of man isn’t changed, the life of the same can’t be changed. Man is changed through his thoughts.

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7

The best way to renew your life is to renew your mind. The best way to renew your mind is to align your mind to the original intent of God. The best way of renewing your life is to align your thought to the truth of the word of God.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2

The only way of escaping from the corruption of the world is by the renewal of the minds.

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, Ephesians 4:17

We have to be born again to have a truly new year. We have to be a new creation to benefit from the fullness of the year. We have to renew our minds to have a renewed year months and days. Our change in life isn’t related to the change of calendar. Our change in life is directly proportional to the renewal of our minds.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

What makes the year new is the newness of the person.

You can even have a new year if you change your mind by the word of God by the 31 of December.
