Pride is one of the most
dangerous attitudes we can have. It was pride that made Satan out of the great
angel of God.
Sometimes pride is difficult
to detect. But let’s see the other manifestations of pride to understand better
about it.
Pride is discontentment.
Pride is to want more than we
deserve. Pride is looking for luxury instead of being contented in necessity.
It shouldn’t be confused with
confidence. Their sources are different and their motives are completely the
opposite. Pride is poor me mentality in action. Pride is an overcompensation of
the victim mentality.
The flip side of pride is an
inferiority complex. Whoever wants to show him-self superior is suffering from
an inferiority complex. The pride person is overcompensating his inferiority
complex with that of the superiority one.
The person who is satisfied
with who he is doesn’t need to prove anything. He just lives out his identity.
