Believe
God exists
And
without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him
must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
To come
to God and have our request accepted, we first and for most need to believe on
the existence of God.
Believing
God exists doesn’t just mean believing that there is a higher power or a god.
It means that God is the creator, the owner, the initiator, the sustainer, the
judge, and the administrator of all the earth.
God is
the creator; He didn’t create the earth and left it to its fate. He is the
active sustainer and manager. God is the initiator. If anything meaningful is
created on earth or in our individual lives, it is initiated by God Himself.
Through
him all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made.
John 1:3
God is
the leader. God isn’t following anyone. He doesn’t need any creativity from any
of us, He has his own idea. He has his own purpose for the earth and our
individual lives in particular.
He is
busy leading the earth by wisdom, power, and love.
For I
know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
Even if
we leave out some things in our lives, He doesn’t leave it as the owner until
He fulfils them.
God is
actively following up, evaluating, and judging everything happening on earth
and in our lives.
In his
defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day,
and I too am working.” John 5:17
“Do not
keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is
a God who knows, and by him, deeds are weighed. 1 Samuel 2:3
He
raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats
them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. 1 Samuel 2:8
For the
Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is he who
will save us. Isaiah 33:22
Anyone
who comes to God must believe that God is the creator, owner, judge and
administrator of heaven and earth. Even if we sometimes don’t see it visibly,
God is busy working on his plan for our lives.
For I
know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:1
God created the earth. God carefully monitors, evaluates, controls, and directs every movement on earth.
A person
who draws close to God in this understanding benefits from a good relationship
with God.
