How to Receive from God

Most of the times we Christians know how to give to God but we must also know

how to receive from him. It is very important. Some time we are disappointed
just because we haven't received the hundred fold as we think it should be. God
rewards hundred fold. It is true but it shouldn't be always in the way we think
it should.

Most of the time, we expect God to give us in terms of money. It is true God
gives money to meet our needs in life but He also knows that money isn't
everything. Money is limited and there are things that money can’t buy. There
are spiritual values such as peace, joy rest, satisfaction that can’t be bought
just for money.

But God fulfills them directly without giving us the responsibility to manage
the money to get those spiritual values.

It isn't comfortable for us as our soul has been learned from experience that
the only way to ensure peace and satisfaction in our life is by getting money
and paying and buying things. That makes us OK.

As a matter of fact the people want money to meet those spiritual needs.

Let's trust the Lord in His priority in our live and be happy in life and in
His dealing in our day to day lives.

There is something called fulfilling the will of God

This world is the world of competition. It influences us to follow it. Every

thing has a different voice and colors that attracts us to follow it. And you
can see many even, who call themselves ‘Christians’ follow the pattern.

Let me tell you there is something called fulfilling the will of God in life.
It may seem foolish; it may seem insignificant, it may seem unattractive and
glamorous. But let me say it again there is something called fulfilling the
will of God in life.

It isn’t a matter of being wealthy, it isn’t about being famous and it isn’t
even about being mighty. No it is a matter of fulfilling the will f God in
life. That is exactly what we are created for, nothing less nothing more.

I am fulfilled and satisfied in life because I haven’t my own flesh agenda to
fulfill. I am created for the will of God to be fulfilled in my life and God is
the one who takes responsibility to revel it to me. What I need to do is that
to open my heart to His will and take action to fulfill them as the provision
of grace that enables me to fulfill this will in my life also comes from Him.

Let’s ignore the call of the world into its valueless competition and let’s
declare with the apostle “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward
call of God in Christ Jesus.” Phil 3:14

Learn to Enjoy life

Sometimes we think that one day we will be stress free and in that day

we will start enjoying life. No it isn't that way God designed it. you

are designed to enjoy life in devastation you find your self.

Go, eat your bread with joy, And drink your wine with a merry heart; For

God has already accepted your works. Let your garments always be white,

And let your head lack no oil. Live joyfully with the wife whom you love

all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all

your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor

which you perform under the sun. Ecclesiastic 9:7-9

I don't mean that it is OK to be pessimist who can't see bright future.

No we have a bright future. the things we long to see most are easy in

the sight of God.

What I mean is about enjoying life today and learning to enjoy life now.

Some of us lack the knowledge how to enjoy life now; we don't lack what

you want. We have to be careful how to use today and treat it properly.

We have to divide between today and tomorrow.

Matt 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will

worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Let’s not waste the now .let's enjoy today while waiting our hope of

tomorrow.

Why disappointed again?

It is an understandable to be disappointed once but it is foolish to be

disappointed every time about the same thing over and over again.

The Bible advises us to live our life in wisdom and understanding. Do you

remember the social and economic status you are in was coveted by you for

long just a few years ago?

You have got it now. But you are not satisfied yet as your focus have

been shifted to a higher one. That is not bad by itself but you have to

know from experience that what you are craving for doesn't do all the work

and it is going to disappoint you once again.

Let me explain myself.

Few years or months ago the privilege you are in was far from you that you

sometimes doubted in your mind weather you achieve it one day or not. But

you have achieved it.

When you achieved it, your focus is already shifted to the higher

achievement. And you no longer appreciate it. You are not enjoying it.

Your mind is fully captivated in the achievement to come.

That means you didn't get the last achievement as satisfactory as you

thought it to be.

That means you had had a miss-estimation about your achievement in terms

of what it can and can’t do.

That also means that you exaggerated your achievement to be which isn't.

If you have been satisfied, you shouldn't crave for the other

achievements forgetting altogether about the last achievement you once

longed for.

There must be a problem some where some how. There must be something wrong.

I see the problem isn't in the craving or in the achieving. The problem is

in the miss estimation of the accomplishment. We had the misestimating

about the achievement as to what it can and it can’t do in life.

We exaggerated the achievements to be all powerful ones. But they aren’t.

We exaggerated then as all doing and satisfactorily. They have their limit

what they can and they can’t do in life.

Lets give their due place in life nothing more. And focus on and glory in

God who does everything for us.

Thus says the LORD: "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the

mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;

who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the

LORD, exercising loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the

earth. For in these I delight," says the LORD. Jer. 9:23, 24

MAKE YOUR LIFE SIMPLIFIED

There is nothing sweeter than living a simple life that can be mange properly.
That is why the bible tells us to simplify our lives.


Seeing then that we are encircled with this great cloud of witnesses, let us
also lay aside every weight, and the sin that clings about us. Let us run with
patience the race that is set before us, Hebrew 12:1


We have been told “to lay aside every weight”

Unnecessary weight makes our life harder and it prevents us from enjoying life.

And here is the Apostle Paul advice.

So I want you to be free from all anxieties. 1Corenthians 7:32


So what must we do to make our life simplified which can be complicated
anytime, if we are nit careful?


1. LET’S COME BACK TO THE BASIC NECESSITY:

We sometimes think that all we want are basic necessities without which we
can’t live a fulfilled life. We need the only things that are basic for
fulfilling God’s purpose in our life.

Every time you see your life is complicated, just lay aside things that are not
necessary and stick on the basic ones in life.

And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 1Timothy 6:8


2. LET’S COME BACK TO THE THINGS WE KNOW.

Sometimes we complicate ourselves to know big things. But let’s come back to
the things we already know and let’s do them. The Lord will bless us for that
and reveal to us the next step. So lets settle in today and not worry about the
tomorrow we don’t really have and we don’t know about.

Matthew 5:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will
worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.


3. LET’S COME BACK TO THE THINGS WE CAN DO

Most people worry themselves to do things they can’t do. Let’s do what we can
and leave the rest to God that really makes our life simplified.

Philippians 4:6 Do not worry about anything; but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;


It is only when we simplify our life that we can live for the purpose God has
in our life. Let’s think seriously about simplifying our life.
