Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians
5:17
Who am I? Whose am I? Where did I
come from? Where am I going? What is my purpose on earth?
The key to answer to all these
important questions is to know our identity.
If a person does not understand who
he is, the meaning of life will be lost.
If a person does not know who he
is, he will fail to live a meaningful life.
If a person does not know who he
is, he cannot achieve his purpose in life.
The Bible specifically talks about
the identity of a person who accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Anyone who invites Christ into
their life is a new person.
Anyone who accepts Jesus as their
Lord, all old things are passed away for him. This man should not be known for
his old things.
A person who accepts Jesus is not
an old person. A person who accepts Jesus, though the outward appearance is the
same, the inward person is a brand new spirit. This person is a completely new
person.
When we accept the Lord Jesus, we
live in a new spiritual kingdom of love.
For he has rescued us from the
dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in
whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14
This man is a new member of God's
family.
Yet to all who did receive him, to
those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
John 1:12
Anyone who knows this person in his
old self should never know him in that person again.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians
5:17
